FAQ
What is Hale?
Hale is a digital solution providing accessible and personalized support for those suffering from genito-pelvic pain. The app helps you manage your condition and improve your quality of life. When you sign up for Hale, you receive a personalized plan for your specific symptoms, a support community, and progress tracking. You can start with an in-depth online assessment that helps you understand your current stage and receive customized support options based on your symptoms, lifestyle, and preferences.
What conditions is the app designed for?
Chronic pelvic pain is a pain condition that persists for more than three months in the genital pelvic area, associated with conditions such as vulvodynia, endometriosis, or vaginismus. Hale is cross-functional because it focuses on the symptoms and their impact on your life - including sleep issues, mood, sex and relationships, consistency, pelvic floor, and much more.
How old do I need to be to use the app?
The minimum age to use the app is 18 years old. If you're under 18, we recommend talking with your parents and doctor to understand the first steps to improve any chronic pain you may have.
Do I need to have a diagnosis?
Yes - the app's goal is to help you learn how to manage your chronic pelvic pain condition. Many contents are suitable for anyone who simply wants to deepen their understanding of these conditions and feel better with their body, but the personalized plan is intended for those who have to manage a chronic condition daily. If you don't have a diagnosis, we recommend you seek advice from an experienced professional and come back to us.
What does it mean that the journey is personalized?
The Hale experience starts with an in-depth online assessment that helps you understand your current stage and receive customized support options based on your symptoms, lifestyle, and preferences. This information is used to create a unique program for your needs. Your journey might include, for example: physical exercises recommended by your gynecologist, mindfulness practices, interactions with our community, and continuous support, such as reminders and progress tracking. Your journey is not static: you can update your goals at any time, and the app will adapt.
How long does it take before seeing results?
Many people report feeling lighter, less alone, and less anxious after just a couple of sessions. You can see extraordinary results in just two weeks - the best comes by making your routine truly consistent. You can use the app as often as you want: we recommend at least two sessions a week, and no more than one session a day. Hale is designed to help you better manage your condition and improve how you feel about it: if it does, then it's working.
How much does it cost?
The basic version of Hale is free forever. To receive your personalized plan and access the full offer, it costs €14.90 per month. If you pay for an annual membership, it will only cost you €8 per month.
Does Hale have access to my health information?
Yes, Hale has access to your personal and wellness data and is therefore compliant with GDPR and the highest privacy measures. Data is anonymized upon collection and only shown to you in the form of insights and advice. If you wish, you can share your data with us at any time to contribute to scientific research on female pain.
Is it equivalent to medical therapy?
No. Hale is not a certified therapy, but a digital support tool for managing pain in everyday life. However, the content and structure of the app are based on the most relevant scientific evidence in the field and built together with a board of certified experts in the treatment of genito-pelvic pain conditions.
What languages does it support?
For the moment, the Hale app is only available in Italian. In the coming months, it will also be available in English, leave your email here if you want to be contacted when it is ready in more languages.
